Cashmere Kitchen with a Dining Island
A U-shaped kitchen opening onto the living room: matte cashmere fronts, an anthracite worktop, a dining island and a bar counter with a blue-lit glass cabinet.
The brief
With the kitchen open to the living room, the dining area also had to fit inside the kitchen. The oven, washing machine and fridge needed to share one tall-unit wall, and the corner cupboards had to be genuinely usable.
What we did
Matte cashmere-beige flat fronts with slim black bar handles pair with an anthracite stone-look worktop around the U. Towards the living room there is a dining island with a dark overhanging top, plus a bar counter along the wall beneath a black-framed glass cabinet lit with blue LED and glass pendant bulbs. In the tall unit the built-in oven sits above the washing machine, and the corner cupboard has a pull-out with chrome wire baskets.
