Island Kitchen with a Linear LED Ceiling
An open kitchen with LED lines set into the ceiling, a wood-slatted island, a lit black-framed display cabinet and greige tall units.
The brief
In a large open kitchen the island was to be the centrepiece, with lighting treated as part of the design. The built-in oven and microwave needed to be gathered into a wall of tall units.
What we did
The island has a white marble-look top and a vertical wood-slat front, with the cooktop set into it and lit, black-framed open shelves at one end. On the back wall, oak-look and greige units meet an LED-lit white splashback, while recessed LED rectangles in the ceiling and a black dome pendant light the room. A tall black-framed glass display cabinet with a wood interior and LED edges stands on the left; floor-to-ceiling greige units on the right hold the built-in oven and microwave.
